Anheuser-Busch to Receive 2003 Keep America Beautiful Vision for America Award

Stamford, CT (August 19, 2003) — Keep America Beautiful, Inc. has announced that Anheuser-Busch has been selected as the 2003 recipient of its annual Vision for America Award. Keep America Beautiful is recognizing Anheuser-Busch because of its comprehensive environmental approach to conducting its business, commitment to environmental causes, and many innovations in conservation, recycling, and animal rescue and rehabilitation.

@@img1 The Vision for America Award will be presented at an awards event in Chicago at the Hyatt Regency on October 28, 2003. Accepting will be August A. Busch III, Chairman of the Board of Anheuser-Busch.

“Anheuser-Busch has an impressive and long-standing record of environmental stewardship that extends back for more than a century,” said Keep America Beautiful President G. Raymond Empson. “Its corporate environmental philosophy is based on a deeply-rooted commitment to support the environment and conserve natural resources.”

Anheuser-Busch, the largest recycler of aluminum cans in the world, is the 18th recipient of the prestigious Vision for America Award. Since 1986, Keep America Beautiful has presented this award annually to corporations that have significantly enhanced civic, environmental and social stewardship throughout the United States.

“We are proud to highlight the achievements of Anheuser-Busch before the American public by bestowing Keep America Beautiful’s highest honor, and hope to inspire other corporations to foster similar environmental goals and an improved quality of life,” added Empson.
