Go Fast Sports & Beverage Co. Hires Chief Operating Officer

New C.O.O. brings distribution and retail experience on board for Go Fast Energy Drink

DENVER, CO (January 25, 2005) – Go Fast Sports & Beverage Co. hired Alan Cortes as Chief Operating Officer – bringing on board distribution and retail experience from the nation’s largest Red Bull distributorship. The hiring of Alan Cortes as C.O.O. is a major step for Go Fast in focusing on sales and distribution expansion.

“We want to be a supplier that addresses our distributors’ needs, questions and goals; and with Alan on the team, we can take stronger strides in building our distribution network and further growing the Go Fast brand,” says Troy Widgery, Founder, Go Fast Sports & Beverage Co. “Alan’s experience from the retail and distribution sides of the business will be an integral part of our strategy and execution for the future of Go Fast,” Widgery continues.

Cortes joins the team at Go Fast as they are launching the first energy drink in an 11.9oz can. With the new packaging, and this point of differentiation in the category, Go Fast sets itself apart from all of the other energy drinks in 8.4 and 16-ounce cans with 11.9 ounces and the new sleek can from Ball.

“I joined Go Fast to embrace the spirit that this young company has, and to help take things to the next level from a distribution and sales standpoint,” says Alan Cortes, C.O.O., Go Fast Sports & Beverage Co. “I see the potential for Go Fast, the passion for what the company is doing in the marketplace, and I am able to bring the distribution experience necessary to round out a strong combination of talent in the company,” Cortes says.

Distribution partnerships are available for Go Fast Energy Drink and Go Fast Light in the sleek, 11.9-ounce can. Go Fast 11.9 will be released in late January 2005, retailing at $1.99-2.29 – to reflect Go Fast’s exclusive energy formula, high quality ingredients and superior performance among others in the energy drink category.

“For the active energy drink consumer, the 11.9 ounce can is the perfect size,” says Heather Hill, VP Communications, Go Fast Sports & Beverage Co. “We have carefully paid attention to what the consumer wants, and we have tuned in to what they are asking for,” Hill continued. Formulated with health conscious consumers and athletes in mind, Go Fast Energy Drink and Go Fast Light offer a great taste; a longer, smoother, more-sustained energy boost; an exclusive blend of energy ingredients; RIBOSE, Australian honey; NO PRESERVATIVES, NO HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP and NO ASPARTAME.
