CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. — Lumi Juices, LLC, an organic, cold pressed high pressure processing beverage company located in Charlottesville, VA announced Tuesday that it has become The Lumi Company thanks to new strategic partners and a capital infusion. The new name aims to reflect Lumi’s goal of becoming a national organic consumer brand
“We could not be more excited about The Lumi Company,” said Hillary Lewis, Founder & CEO of Lumi Juices. “This capital provides us with the funds necessary to expand nationally and positions us for growth.”
Lewis will continue to serve as Founder & CEO of The Lumi Company. Lumi will use the equity funding to invest in manufacturing, diversify product offerings, and increase its focus on national expansion.
Lumi Juices was founded in April 2013 by Lewis, a then University of Virginia Darden School of Business second year student. Lumi stands for Love You, Mean It. Lumi Juice manufactures 100% organic, cold pressed juice. Within six months, Lumi Juices had its own fully integrated manufacturing facility, complete with a Hiperbaric High Pressure Processing machine. Lumi Juice has seven flavors available in retail outlets like Whole Foods.
