566777578.newbottlerender.vanillaKate Farms, Inc., leader in plant based ready-to-drink meal replacements, is proud to debut new branding and introduce seasoned industry veteran Michael Fougere as Chief Operating Officer at Natural Products Expo West next week in Anaheim, Calif. The Santa Barbara based company created the world’s first organic, non-GMO, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free and soy-free RTD meal replacement shake.

“Michael Fougere’s track record of driving highly successful and strategic growth in the beverage industry ensures that Kate Farms will reach an even wider audience without sacrificing the exceptional nutritional quality” said Kate Farms founder and Co-CEO Richard Laver. Fougere was at the helm during Coca-Cola’s entrance into New Age beverages, involved in over 30 product launches, played a key role in the Coca-Cola Nestle Refreshment Company partnership and was part of the PowerAde National Launch Team. He later joined Honest Tea as VP of Operations to help facilitate its sale, and played key Operations roles at POM Wonderful, Muscle Milk, Zico Coconut Water and Plum Organics.

Fougere’s addition to the team comes at a critical time as Kate Farms prepares for expected rapid growth with the launch of new look and branding. Partnering with branding agency Hornall Anderson, whose clients include Starbucks and REI, Kate Farms has simplified it’s packaging to reflect the tagline for it’s plant-based products, simply… “All Good Things”. Jack Anderson, Founder and Chairman of Hornall Anderson said, “It was an honor to work with people [at Kate Farms] who are driven to make people’s lives better by offering something exceptional in the market. They personally experienced the impact that whole nutrition from nature can make on one’s health, and how that opens up possibilities for a richer, fuller life. Our goal was to express that in the refreshed brand.”

Kate Farms was created by Richard and Michelle Laver for the purpose of helping their daughter, Kate Laver, with her nutritional needs due to health conditions. It has grown into a company helping a broad range of people – athletes, moms and dads on the go, seniors, kids, and people with food sensitivities or digestive conditions. Kate Farms is distributed in over 3,500 stores including Wegman’s, The Vitamin Shoppe, Sprouts Farmers Market, and Amazon.com.
