Manufacturer's Brand Overview: [Edit]
Aloe'ha has found a way to blend fruit flavors and sparkling water with Aloe Vera. The result is a soft drink sweetened with pure crystalline fructose that has great flavor, low calories, no caffeine and is free of harmful additives. The Aloe Vera plant has been treasured for thousands of years because of its unique properties. Aloe Vera contains all 16 amino acids including the 9 essential amino acids known as muscle building "Branch Chain Amino Acids." It has been reported to increase endurance as well as contribute to healthy skin and hair. Aloe'ha is a drink that is both natural and enjoyable. All you taste is the goodness of nature.

Peach
Category: Carbonated Soft Drink: Regular; Packaging: 16.9 fl oz (500 ml) PET
BevNET Review:
Is it a health product or a CSD? We think it's not terribly good at either. Since it has elements of a CSD and has less aloe vera than aloe vera juice (found in health food stores), it will alienate the health-foods consumer and the very fact that it uses aloe vera will probably alienate most CSD drinkers. This being said, aloe vera doesn't seem like a particularly attractive additive, unless the mass media embraces it wholeheartedly. Anyway, on to the drink. It has a peachy flavor which might make it a little easier to drink, assuming you like peach flavor, and it wisely uses crystalline fructose as its sweetener. The peach flavor is pretty weak but fairly accurate – but the wild card here is the use of aloe vera powder as a flavoring. The stuff adds four grams of protein per serving, which cuts the sweetness with a spicy, vegetable-like note. The unfortunate side effect, however, is that it’s very drying. Overall, this product is mediocre in terms of refreshment and we have serious doubts when it comes to marketability.

Kiwi/Strawberry
Category: Carbonated Soft Drink: Regular; Packaging: 16.9 fl oz (500 ml) PET
BevNET Review:
Nothing too great here, just a slightly redeeming kiwi taste early on, followed by a quick plunge into the same mouth-drying, flavorless weirdness that seems to define this drink. There is little else to say about this drink except for the fact that some studies show that protein in a drink can help quench thirst a bit better than drinks without protein. But if they taste like this, we’d rather go thirsty. There’s just not a lot inside the bottle – or outside, where it looks like the kiwi on the label is a bit underripe – that says “drink me.”

Lemon/Lime
Category: Carbonated Soft Drink: Regular; Packaging: 16.9 fl oz (500 ml) PET
BevNET Review:
This lemon-lime mix achieves slightly more depth of flavor than the rest of the Aloe’ha line, and while it doesn’t mean that it manages to avoid the problem with the product’s strange ability to dry out the drinker’s mouth, it does mean that until that happens, it tastes a little better. There’s a bit of lemon-lime, a bit of sweet, and then it starts to feel like someone dropped cotton on your tongue. The label needs work, too, with “Aloe’ha” written on a metallic label that simply isn't that attractive or appetising. Overall, it's better than the others, but still not great.

Raspberry
Category: Carbonated Soft Drink: Regular; Packaging: 16.9 fl oz (500 ml) PET
BevNET Review:
A fairly soft raspberry flavor in this clear sparkler that isn’t unpleasant, but the addition of aloe vera powder once again has a real drawback in the drying effect. We’re still eager to hear what the idea was behind this – can small doses of aloe vera cure heartburn or something? Meanwhile, this is really only worth a try if you’re addicted to drinks with inexplicable additives -- as you surely won't be drinking it to find a high-end CSD.
