Excellent drink! Perfect for after sports!
What attracted me most to Amy and Brians was firstly its huge can. I've a big drinking appetite and A&B's allows a good glug. Upon closer inspection, it had a rather 'boring' ingredients list.... and thats GREAT! Here's what it says. "ingredients: Young coconut juice, young coconut pulp" THATS IT! most other competitor brands i've seen have some amount of preservative and sweetening agent. Well done A&B. and finally the actual drink itself. wonderful flavour. its just like the coconuts one buys in the street in my country. REALLY RECOMMENDED
The only place I've ever seen this drink is at Whole Foods, where it costs $1.79. I've gotten it a couple of times as it seems to be a healthier choice than the soda or fruit juice drinks in the beverage case (less sugar, more nutritious). I love coconut juice but this stuff is just OK. It's relatively natural so it tastes better than other brands that add sugars and preservatives, but it tastes a bit bland to me. They also need to add more coconut meat as there's only a tiny bit floating around. I prefer unpasteurized coconut juice straight from the coconut. At my local Asian market you can buy fresh young coconuts for 99 cents each, or $8 for a case of 9. The quality and taste of fresh coconut juice is incomparable to the cooked, canned version. And I can't help but feel like a sucker paying $2 bucks for a can of coconut juice when I can buy a real Thai coconut for half that.
I have tried a number of coconut drink products and none of them compare with Amy & Brian Coconut Juice! It's very rare that you find a packaged product that tastes exactly like it was fresh, but this describes Amy & Brian Coconut Juice perfectly. I love the little bits of coconut in the juice as well.
What is so stunning about this beverage is how naturally good it is. There's absolutely no added sugar, no preservatives, no chemicals, nothing artifical at all! Just 100% pure coconut juice!
There's a competing brand that has a similar label in a tall green can, but it contains added sugard (i.e. corn syrup), preservatives, and other added ingredients AND TASTES TERRIBLE! I would have thought that by adding sugar it would taste even better... Not so! The added ingredients ruined the flavor. Amy & Brian is the superior drink among the coconuts! :)
Highly recommended!!! 5 stars is too low! MMMMMMMmmm!!! :)
Truly an all natural coconut juice. Ingredients: coconut juice & coconut pulp...that's all. No sweeteners, or preservatives. Tastes great & absolutley refreshing.
