Goose Island's Diet Root Beer is one of the best diet root beers that we've ever had the pleasure of sampling. Using a blend of Ace-k and sucralose, the product has a sweetness that is in the same ballpark as sugar, but doesn't have the aftertaste found in many diet products. The lack of creaminess is our biggest complaint with this product, but given the other positives (lack of aftertaste, natural sweetness, beautiful packaging), it is something that we'll let go for now. Overall, a good addition to the lineup.

Grape Soda

If you're in the mood for a good old-fashioned grape soda, Goose Island's Grape is certainly a great choice. Using cane sugar, this product has a very clean flavor that won't leave a syrupy coating in your mouth. The grape flavor is decent and is on par with competing products, but it's really the sugar that gives this product a leg up. Packaging is another strength of this product. The clean and simple design presents an image of quality, which accurately represents what is inside the bottle. Overall, a job well done by Goose Island.

Orange Cream

If you browse this web site, it will be pretty easy to come to the conclusion that we generally do not like orange cream sodas. Why? Generally, we find that these products use way too much "cream" and not enough orange in the body of the flavor. Not the case with Goose Island. Perhaps it's the use of sugar vs. high fructose corn syrup, as corn syrup generally enhances a beverage's creaminess. Either way, this is a refreshingly well done version of the classic orange creamsicle soda. Thumbs up from BevNET.

Root Beer

BevNET Review:
Goose Island really did a great job with the makeover to its flagship soda flavor. The packaging is beautiful and clean, with a very inviting retro-style label that complements the high quality flavor that is found inside the bottle. Using "real sugar,� Goose Island's root beer is clean and crisp, but its body is still decently creamy. As far as premium root beers go, this is without question one of the best we've had in a long time. Definitely recommended.
