BevNET Review:
There’s nice cranberry color and flavor in this offering from Xtazy Energy, and it lends itself to the bitter caffeine and guarana that are present in most energy drinks. But it’s hard to imagine that the thick texture and syrupy mouth feel of this drink is going to leave consumers thinking they’re more energized than when they drank it. Still, we suspect this energy drink, with its pronounced fruity flavor, might be very good as a mixer – we don’t know because we’re required to do our reviews sober – but under the influence or not, we do like the red-lined 12-oz. slim can with the electrified “X” on the front.

Lime Blast

BevNET Review:
You’d have to be experiencing the effects of this product’s illegal namesake to ever mistake the flavor of this product for lime. Instead, it’s an overly sweet yellow beverage with a hint of sour green apple. It does manage to avoid the dreaded “caffeine tang” that we’re so vigilant about here at BevNET, but otherwise, there’s not much in this product to differentiate it from its competition. The packaging is pretty nice, though – the sizzling “X” definitely lends itself to the 12-oz. slim can – and that might be enough to lure drinkers in a few times.

Orange Blast

This is surprisingly flavorless. That’s not necessarily a bad thing for an energy drink, as so many of them tend toward too much – but there’s not a ton of orange taste to this drink. There’s also not a lot of aftertaste, which is good, and it drinks pretty light and smooth. And we still like the Xtazy slim can, although the orange-trimmed one doesn’t look as good as the cranberry red.
