Chlorophyll Water Expands Southeast and Mid-Atlantic Footprint with Harris Teeter Launch

The first bottled water in the U.S. to pass Clean Label Project Certification expands to more than 250 Harris Teeter retail stores amid national growth and surging consumer demand for chlorophyll and clean-label hydration

NEW YORK, N.Y. — Chlorophyll Water, the pioneer in the chlorophyll category and the first bottled water in the United States to pass Clean Label Project Certification, is proud to announce its launch across all Harris Teeter locations, expanding the brand’s Southeast and Mid-Atlantic retail footprint to more than 250 stores across Harris Teeter’s retail network.

The Harris Teeter launch marks another major milestone in Chlorophyll Water’s national expansion, bringing its ultra-purified, plant-powered functional water to one of the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic’s most respected grocery retailers. Co-founded in 1960 by North Carolina grocers W.T. Harris and Willis Teeter, Harris Teeter operates more than 250 stores and 60 fuel centers across seven states and the District of Columbia and is a wholly owned subsidiary of The Kroger Co.

Known for its strong neighborhood grocery experience, quality fresh foods, convenience, pharmacy services and customer-focused shopping experience, Harris Teeter has built a loyal following across some of the country’s most competitive grocery markets. The launch aligns Chlorophyll Water with a retailer recognized for delivering high-quality grocery, healthy living products, ready-to-eat meals and everyday essentials to shoppers across its regional footprint.

Chlorophyll Water is ultra-purified water infused with chlorophyll, derived from alfalfa, and fortified with essential vitamins A, B12, C and D. The brand is known for its crisp, refreshing taste with subtle lemon and spearmint notes, Clean Label Project Certified positioning and commitment to sustainability. Chlorophyll Water’s bottles are made from 100% recycled plastic using CleanFlake™ label technology, and through its partnership with rePurpose Global, the sale of each bottle funds the recovery of the equivalent of one ocean-bound plastic bottle. The brand also recently expanded its packaging portfolio with the launch of its new 16 oz aluminum cans.

The Harris Teeter launch comes during a period of significant growth for Chlorophyll Water and rising consumer interest in chlorophyll, functional hydration and better-for-you beverages. The chlorophyll market is forecasted to grow 56% faster than the coconut water market and 40% faster than the U.S. bottled water market, with chlorophyll projected at an 8.0% CAGR through 2030, compared to 5.13% for coconut water and 5.7% for U.S. bottled water over the same period.

Chlorophyll Water has seen strong momentum across retail, e-commerce and social commerce. The brand was awarded “Top Brand of the Year” by Spate Market Research, an AI-powered consumer forecasting platform; named an “Emerging Brand of the Year” finalist by the California Grocers Association; selected as an “Ones to Watch” finalist at the Beverage Forum; and nominated for the “Emerging Brand of the Year” competition at the Nourishing Change Conference, hosted by Kroger. Chlorophyll Water also ranked #9 out of more than 90,000 brands on RangeMe’s “Top 50 Food & Beverage” list and ranked in the top 1% on TikTok Shop out of more than 700,000 TikTok Shops, further demonstrating strong consumer demand. The brand was also recently labeled “Amazon’s Choice” by consumers and awarded “Top Shop” on Faire.com by independent retail partners.

Chlorophyll Water originally made history as the first bottled water in the U.S. to pass Clean Label Project Certification and has earned the certification for three consecutive years. The certification includes independent third-party testing for more than 90 industrial and environmental contaminants, including heavy metals, pesticides, plasticizers and other chemicals of concern. Chlorophyll Water also publishes its lab test results on ChlorophyllWater.com, reinforcing the brand’s commitment to transparency.
