Pómelle Aperitif appoints Sheyan Patel as Global Managing Director

Patel joins to lead global expansion of the brand as the spritz category continues to grow

Pómelle, the premium, natural aperitif, welcomes Sheyan Patel as Global Managing Director, effective immediately. Patel joins at a pivotal moment as the spritz establishes itself as the defining serve of the era. Pómelle is perfectly positioned to meet consumers looking for something beyond the familiar, a premium, natural alternative that sits beautifully between sweet and bitter.

Well adept at building and scaling challenger brands, Sheyan brings over 20 years of international drinks experience to the role, including 12 years at Diageo across Marketing and Commercial positions in Shanghai, Amsterdam and London. During his time at Diageo, he also served as Ventures Director for Distill Ventures, Diageo's accelerator for premium adult drinks brands, where he worked directly with founder-led spirits businesses to help scale them into global brands.

Most recently, Sheyan spent nearly six years as Chief Commercial Officer of The Lost Explorer Mezcal, working closely with founders David de Rothschild and Thor Bjorgolfsson to launch in 2020 and build the brand into an award-winning, multi-market presence across 25+ countries. He remains an active shareholder and investor in the brand.

Founded in 2023 by Swedish entrepreneur Malin Spano, Pómelle is a premium, natural aperitif crafted from pomelo, pink grapefruit, elderflower and ginseng.
