Monster Energy Up & Up Festival Announces

ODD MOB as Fall 2025 Headliner

for Crowdfunded College Tour

Monster Energy Up & Up Festival, the longest-running college music tour, has announced breakout electronic music producer Odd Mob as the official headliner for its Fall 2025 tour.

Now entering its ninth year, the festival’s thousands of presale tickets routinely sell out within 48 hours, despite no announced date, location, or even a guarantee that the event will happen. More than 100 student ambassador teams from across the U.S. will rally their schools through guerrilla marketing, grassroots campus activations, and targeted influencer campaigns to earn a stop on the tour — and the chance to co-produce the ultimate college music experience, as well as earn internship credits.

“For someone who’s been DJing as long as I have, it’s kind of embarrassing how few colleges I’ve played in that time,” says Odd Mob. “So I’m looking to pump those numbers up, so thanks to the guys at the Monster Energy Up & Up Festival. I can’t bloody wait, and I’m curious where we’re running this thing.”

Dubbed the Final Four of College Music Festivals, Up & Up empowers each campus team — operating from its own Instagram handle — to compete in a 48-hour presale campaign. The top five schools with the most ticket sales win a stop on the tour. Winning colleges then partner with Up & Up producers to host the festival at a local venue, featuring their own DJ openers, content team, and on-site activations, culminating in the most hyped event of the semester.

Credit cards are only charged to the winning campus’s teams, so there’s no risk involved. Students can also purchase via PayPal. This forward-thinking ticketing model has resulted in multiple sold-out hard-ticket tours in premium college venues.

“Joining the Monster Energy Up & Up Festival as an ambassador in 2024 has proved to be the most rewarding experience in my life,” says Johny Steed, senior at CSU Fullerton. “The community of people driven to succeed, not only through a passion of electronic music but also collaboration, innovation, hard work and real connections has been extremely inspiring to not only me, but the rest of my team as well. The Up&Up Festival has proven time and time again, that perseverance and passion beats everything else. In CSU Fullerton’s first three seasons, we’ve earned a spot on the tour twice, and in doing so, we’ve fostered an amazing community of students and locals, which we have poured our heart into.”

The Monster Energy Up & Up model delivers on three fronts:

1.    Artists perform only where they’re most in demand.

2.    Students gain real-world experience in music, marketing, and events.

3.    Fans enjoy unforgettable shows — without outrageous ticket prices.

Since its inception in Fall 2016, the Up & Up Festival has redefined the college concert experience by bypassing traditional programming boards and middle agents. Instead, it puts the power in students’ hands, allowing them to decide where the tour goes. This model enables students to curate major events featuring top-tier artists while developing real-world skills in sales, promotion, and event production.

Recent winners include Cal Poly, Miami-Ohio, San Diego State, Florida State, CSU Fullerton, CSU Long Beach, and the University of Oregon, who earned the Spring 2025 Grammy-nominated headliner, Sidepiece. Other previous winners include University of Alabama, ASU (2x), Bryant, Boulder (4x), University of Dayton (3x), University of Georgia, Lehigh, JMU, Indiana University, LSU, Penn State (3x), Oklahoma State, Oregon State University, UC Davis (2x), University of Virginia (2x), UT Austin, Washington State University (5x), UNCW (3x), Virginia Tech (2x), and Wake Forest.

This summer, Up & Up will launch new ways to win live events, including an exciting expansion of its collegiate programming: NATIONAL PEP RALLY. This virtual Zoom event attracts attendees from over 200 universities and features surprise artist performances, guest speakers from the music industry, educational workshops and giveaways, all held one week before the presale competition.

The Fall 2025 national competition kicks off on September 10th at 4 p.m. EST, with the winning festivals taking place throughout October and November.

ABOUT ODDMOB

For Australian producer and DJ, Odd Mob, there are no limits in sight as he continues to soar with each innovative production. Known for his genre-defying approach, Odd Mob has cemented his place at the forefront of global electronic music.

He broke through with the 2014 hit ‘Is It A Banger’, which charted in the Australian  triple j ‘Hottest 100’ and has since amassed over 8 million streams. Since then, Odd Mob has released a string of hits like ‘Intrinsic’, ‘Lithium’ and ‘LEFT TO RIGHT’’, while collaborating with LA producer OMNOM on tracks such as ‘Losing Control’, ‘Mind Awake, Body Asleep’, and ‘All Day, All Night’, pushing him past 260+ million streams across platforms.

The past 12 months has seen Odd Mob release official remixes for John Summit, Dom Dolla, Chris Lake, Sub Focus, Jax Jones & D.O.D. Adam Beyer & Green Velvet, Sofi Tukker, ODESZA, and Felix Jaehn. Meanwhile, his bootleg series under the Oddities brand has earned millions of plays, thanks to his constant innovation and boundary-pushing sound, which has caught the attention of industry titans like Diplo, Fisher, Calvin Harris, and Tiesto.

His 2022 single, ‘LEFT TO RIGHT’, based around Soulja Boy’s ‘Crank That’, received massive support from top-tier DJs such as Skrillex, Dom Dolla, Fred Again.., Disclosure, and Chris Lake, propelling him into the global spotlight. Odd Mob continued his winning streak in 2023 with a packed tour schedule, including sets at EDC, Coachella, and Shambhala. His collaboration with OMNOM, ‘Losing Control’, became an underground club hit, soaring to #1 on Beatport’s Top 100 chart, while garnering over 1.5 million streams within two weeks.

2024 was another landmark year for Odd Mob, with highlights including a massive sold out headline show at LA’s iconic Hollywood Palladium, two performances at Tomorrowland, EDC Las Vegas, Parookaville, and supporting Swedish House Mafia at Ushuaia in Ibiza as part of his first ever European Tour. Since this huge run of shows, one of his most recent releases is an official rework of the 2003 global hit ‘Get Busy’ with Sean Paul and  has already surpassed 46 million streams, topping the ARIA and UK Upfront Club charts. The collaboration also reached #3 on the Beatport Top 100; spending 9 weeks in the top 10 with an on going #1 chart in the Bass House chart, where it  currently remains.

2025 is shaping up to be another milestone year for Odd Mob, with a massive new collaboration with dance music icon Tiësto, a packed global tour schedule, and a string of appearances including Coachella, Shambhala, EDC, Beyond Wonderland, Space Miami, Elrow, and a highly anticipated return to Ibiza this August, not to mention a new Las Vegas residency at Wynn for the year ahead. Building on his nonstop momentum, Odd Mob was personally selected by John Summit as direct support for his recent sold-out Australian tour. Now, Odd Mob is set to take center stage with his own sold-out headline show series, coming to Australia this September, with stops in Perth, Melbourne, Sydney, and his hometown of Brisbane. Cementing his status as one of the most innovative forces in electronic music, Odd Mob continues on his rapid rise to the top.
