Cary, NC – April 7, 2026 – Maïzly, the high-fiber plant milk brand, is proud to announce that its Original Corn Milk has been awarded a 2026 TASTY Award by NECTAR, a nonprofit research initiative dedicated to accelerating the global protein transition through taste. The TASTY Awards spotlight the top-performing dairy-free products that meet or exceed consumer taste expectations compared to conventional dairy — a major indicator of mainstream adoption potential.

Now in its second year, the TASTY Awards coincide with NECTAR’s release of the Taste of the Industry 2026 report — the most comprehensive sensory analysis of dairy-free products conducted to date. The study evaluated 98 products across 10 dairy-free categories, comparing each to a conventional counterpart through blind tastings with more than 2,100 omnivorous consumers. The findings reveal remarkable progress across categories like barista milk, creamer, and yogurt, where several products achieved taste parity with their dairy benchmarks.

“Winning this award is incredibly special because taste is the hardest thing to prove when it’s your own product. This recognition gives independent validation that Maïzly Original stands out and challenges expectations of what plant-based milk can be,” said Tim Leclercq, Maïzly Co-Founder and CEO.

NECTAR’s 2026 research underscores a pivotal insight: 27 dairy-free products — nearly one-quarter of all tested — achieved mainstream consumer satisfaction, with at least half of participants rating them as good as or better than dairy in overall liking.
